Jonny Servais
Visual Effects Artist & cinematographer
I'm Jonny Servais, a filmmaker, cinematographer, and VFX artist based in Wisconsin. Through Jonny Nightmare, I create cinematic visuals that blend live-action filmmaking with digital artistry, helping bring ambitious ideas to life on screen.
My work combines cinematography, visual effects, 3D animation, and post-production, allowing me to approach projects from both a technical and creative perspective. Whether I'm behind the camera capturing a scene or building worlds in Blender and Unreal Engine, I'm driven by the challenge of creating images that feel immersive, believable, and memorable.
I specialize in visual storytelling that pushes beyond what's possible in-camera alone. From subtle compositing and cleanup work to fully CG environments and stylized effects, I enjoy finding creative solutions that elevate a project without distracting from the story.
When I'm not on set or at my workstation, I'm constantly exploring new techniques in VFX, animation, and virtual production, always looking for new ways to merge technology and storytelling.
